SARASOTA CHOIR HEADS TO CARNEGIE HALL

Diversity logoDistinguished Concerts International in New York City (DCINY) has announced that Sarasota choir, Diversity: The Voices of Sarasota, has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall this June as part of the 10th anniversary celebration for the Susan G. Komen Sing for the Cure®.

Members of Diversity will join with other outstanding choristers to form the Distinguished Concerts Singers International, accompanied by Distinguished Concerts Orchestra International.

"Diversity: The Voices of Sarasota received this invitation because of the quality and high level of musicianship demonstrated by the singers," says Dr. Jonathan Griffith, artistic director and principal conductor for DCINY.  "These wonderful musicians not only represent a high quality of music and education, but they also become ambassadors for the entire community."

Diversity will also be performing a local concert to benefit the Susan G. Komen Sing for the Cure® on May 15 at the Sarasota Opera House.
