Molly DemuelenaereG.WIZ - The Science Museum announces that their former Director of Marketing, Molly Demeulenaere has been promoted to the position of Museum Director.

Molly grew up in Naples, Florida were she graduated with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology in 1999.

In 2001, Molly moved to Sarasota and was hired by the Sarasota County Arts Council to produce the largest arts event in Sarasota history! A grand festival for all of the arts in Downtown Sarasota, "Arts Day" attracted over 30,000 attendees every year for the six years that Molly produced it. After the success of her first "Arts Day," Molly assumed a full time position with the Arts Council as Director of Development, a position which she held until 2007. During Molly's seven-year tenure with the Arts Council she utilized her savvy business skills and creative thinking to break all prior fundraising goals. She produced all the Arts Council's events including the original "Arts Night" and "Amazing Arts Race" scavenger hunt that are still talked about to this day.

Over the years Molly's ever-present smile and reputation for making great things happen, made her a permanent fixture on the Sarasota scene. She put her expertise and enthusiasm to work for grass roots efforts and non-profit organizations alike. In 2007, Molly joined with Keren Shani-Lifrak to form Rambunktious Productions, an event production company. Together they produced events for over 20 non-profits in the community including G.WIZ.

Molly’s passion for giving to the community brought her back into the non-profit world. “G.WIZ is now giving me a fabulous opportunity to express my commitment to advancing science, education and the arts which are all wonderfully intertwined.”

Chris Menzies, President of the G.WIZ Board of Trustees, said “the board is proud to appoint Ms. Demeulenaere to Museum Director. She is an outstanding and energetic young professional who is the ideal choice to carry out our mission; to be the gateway for lifelong adventures in science.”
