Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Sarasota County Arts Council. Below you will find information on our various types of membership for individuals, artists, organizations and companies.
Individuals
The Sarasota County Arts Council is a member-powered arts and cultural alliance passionate about building appreciation, participation and support for arts and culture. As an individual member, you will be helping us connect the community to arts and cultural. You can stay informed with the latest advocacy alerts,economic reports, and other news in the arts through our ARTbeat e-newsletter. You'll also receive invitations to special Arts Council events and discounted admissions to many of our area's cultural attractions.
Artists
Creative artists can sign up for an annual membership with the Arts Council for $25. Stay informed with information about the latest grant opportunities and calls to artists, and become part of the Artist's Directory with a listing on our Website. You'll receive an artist's profile, image gallery and be able to post your openings, exhibits and other events on the Cultural Calendar of Events.
Painters, sculptors, dancers, poets, musicians or writers -- all artists are welcome!
Organizations
The Sarasota County Arts Council is made up of member arts organizations committeed to building cultural awareness and encouraging increased funding at local, state and federal levels.
Organizational members become part of the Organizations Directory with a listing on our Website. Your listing will include a profile and image gallery, and you'll also be able to post your events on the Cultural Calendar of Events.
Your organization will also become a part of the Cultural Executives Committee (CEC). The CEC meets to discuss how the Arts Council can better serve our local organizations, and three CEC representatives sit on the board of the Arts Council.
Organizational members also have access to the conference room in the lobby of the Center for Arts and Humanities; reserve the space for your meetings and functions courtesy of the Arts Council. In addition, you will be featured in our annual Entertainment Packets and the Guide to the Arts publication, 50,000 copies of which are distributed throughout the southwest Florida region.
Companies
The Arts Council is committed to creating and sustaining relationships between local businesses and our arts and cultural groups.
When your company partners with the Arts Council your contribution directly promotes our cultural attractions to a broad regional, national and international audience. Your participation also helps us provide vital services to area artists and cultural organizations.
Corporate members have the opportunity to reach potential customers with a listing on Corporate Directory of the Arts Council's Website. You will also receive special invitations to Arts Council events and be able to stay informed with the latest advocacy alerts, economic reports, and other news in the arts through our ARTbeat e-newsletter.
