The State of the Arts Opportunity Grants are available  to those Sarasota County nonprofit arts and cultural organizations that have not received Tourist Development/Cultural Arts Grants (TDC/A) within the previous 12 months. Projects are evaluated on artistic merit, community involvement (including accessibility and diversity), and administrative competence. The State of the Arts Grants are funded in part through sales of the Sarasota County State of the Arts license plates.

When you choose Florida's State of the Arts license plate $20 of that cost is provided to fund arts programs throughout Sarasota County - including visual arts, music, theater and dance.  Order the arts license plate and let your support show, wherever you go!

To purchase a "State of the Arts" license plate, visit your local authorized motor vehicles office. Locations can be found at  http://www.flhsmv.gov/offices/sarasota.html.

Tags are for $32 plus handling fees. Future renewals of your tag will be $22 and is included in your renewal notice. In either case, $20 of this expense is tax deductible.
