On an annual basis, the Arts and Cultural Alliance both awards and administers various grants that are available to individual artists and arts and cultural organizations that are located within Sarasota County.

John Ringling Towers Fund Grants
Each year the Arts and Cultural Alliance awards local artists and arts and cultural organizations through their John Ringling Towers Fund. The two grants that are available through this fund are:
- the John Ringling Towers Fund Individual Artists Award
- the John Ringling Towers Fund Historic Preservation Grant
Tourist Development Cultural/Arts Grants
The Alliance annually administers the Tourist Development Cultural/Arts Grants (TDC/A). These grants are available to organizations with recognized ability to produce, present and promote cultural and arts activities that appeal to tourists.
State of the Arts Opportunity Grants
The Alliance also administers the State of the Arts Opportunity Grants. Funded by Sarasota County's "State of the Arts" license plates, these grants are available to Sarasota County nonprofit arts and cultural organizations that have not applied for or received TDC/A grants within the previous 12 months.
