Each year the Sarasota County Arts Council awards local artists and arts organizations through their John Ringling Towers fund.  The two grants that are available through this fund are:

• the John Ringling Towers Fund Individual Artists Fellowship Award
• the John Ringling Towers Fund Historic Preservation Grant

The Arts Council annually administers the Tourist Development Cultural/Arts grants (TDC/A).  These grants are available to organizations with recognized ability to produce, present and promote cultural and arts activities that appeal to tourists. 

In addition to the TDC/A grants, the Arts Council administers the State of the Arts Opportunity Grants.  Funded by Sarasota County's "State of the Arts" license plates, these grants are available to Sarasota County nonprofit arts and cultural organizations that have not applied or received TDC/A grants within the previous 12 months.
