Notable artists of our area have been turned loose in the Myakka wilderness to capture the wild fauna in paintings, works on paper and sculpture.  Come out and immerse yourself in the bucolic rivers setting and view captivating art.

This event is hosted by the Friends of the Myakka in recognition of the 75th anniversary of the State Parks of Florida.

Guests will be given directions to the South Pavilion at the main entrance ranger station.

Tickets are $35.   A selection of eclectic Southern food will be provided by Madfish Grill, Linger Lodge, Sysco, Myakka Outpost and the Wine Warehouse.

Artworks will be available through silent auction with fifty percent of all proceeds benefitting the Myakka River State Park and Art Center Sarasota.  At the conclusion of the event all artworks will be displayed and available for purchase at Art Center Sarasota through April 24, 2010.
