Beginning in 1985, residents, visitors, artists, architects, engineers, historians, builders, archeologists, realtors, planners,designers, and writers have worked together to preserve and encourage others to preserve – not only the remaining significant landmarks-- but also the contributing structures that define our community. Members of the Sarasota Alliance inspire greater awareness of the invaluable historic aspects of our community, and encourage everyone to be vigilant about those that are subject to threats
