The Jazz Club of Sarasota was founded in 1980 to promote, preserve, perform and educate people about jazz: the original American art form.
In addition to the annual Sarasota Jazz Festival, the Venice Jazz Festival, and the High School Jazz Festival, an additional 75 - 80 performances are held in local venues year round.
