The Hermitage Artist Retreat is a not-for-profit artist community bringing mid-career painters, sculptors, writers, playwrights, poets, composers and other artists from all over the world for residencies on its 8.5 acre Gulf-front campus on Manasota Key in Englewood. Each artist is asked to contribute to services to the community during their stay. So far Hermitage artists have touched the lives of more than 6,000 children and adults in Sarasota County and the surrounding areas with unique and inspiring programs.
