Barbara was born and raised in New
England and came to Florida in the
1970’s. She has a background in
botanical illustration, and has
incorporated many local Florida
species of both plants and animals
into her work.
Barbara enjoys reading about and
studying the myths of other cultures.
She often mixes the whimsy of myth
with the hidden treasures that
nature inspires.
Barbara’s paintings in this current show are
all either miniature original works or fine art
prints. They are all beautifully framed and
ready for display or perfect for gifts.
They all incorporate either local flora and
fauna or mystical elements or in some, a
combination of both.
